24 years ago I bought a ragged out 69 442 coupe from an ol' red. It was gold with black interior and had been abused. I was only 15 but I did the best I could fixin' her up. My parents pressured me into selling it to my stupid brother in law after he totaled his Chevette. He quickly totaled the Olds. Two years later my dad helped me buy a mint 69 Cutlass S convetible. It was white with a blue interior. I loved that car and shed tears when I had to sell her after three years to raise money for college. I vowed that day to own another Olds Convertible! In 92 I bought an 89 Cutlass Supreme SX and loved it. I drove it for five years. Well, last spring I found a 71 Cutlass Supreme Convertible. She is the unique bittersweet color with a sienna brown interior. She was all original except for one repaint. Even the top was original. The top and interior were badly faded but overall good for the age. So I've been slowly restoring it as I can afford. I am going to clone it into a 442. I'm glad there are others out there who love these old cars as much as I do and have much more knowledge than me so I can learn from them!
