I belong to the Windsor Area Street Rods located in Windsor Ontario, just south of Detroit Michigan.
We had our awards dinner on Saturday February 5th and I won Best Rebuilt Car for 2010. This was for the restoration of my Olds that took over a year and a half to complete.
I was up against a 1934 Ford Cabriolet, 1969 Ford Fairlane, and a 1968 Chevelle SS. This award is based on how extensive the restoration was, and how the finished product turned out. The car must be seen by the board prior to voting. If the car cannot be seen or is not licensed and on the road it is not eligible. I barely squeaked in because my car was done the middle of October. We had a chili cook off in November as our last function. I brought her to that function for everyone to see (talk about being nervous!)
Here is a pic of the car taken when she came home in October.

Congatulations!
It does feel really good.
If it's the first one wouldn't it be the most and the least expensive?![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

The trophy cost or size doesn't matter, it's the approval and compliments from your fellow auto enthusiasts that counts.
Yeah right, 15 bucks to register and when you win they give you a hunk of scrap plywood they had some kid carve stuff on with an old woodburning set.
It does feel really good.

Your car looks great, the paint looks awesome. Big congrats on beating out two Fords and a Chevy!! You should be proud to see all your hard work (and $$) get some well-deserved recognition. Hopefully more to come.

You'll have to win more so the cost-per-trophy ratio drops.

Nice car and congrats!!
There is something to be said about being a car enthusiast. Really if you think about it most of us are in it to just talk to other car guys. I thoroughly enjoy the local car shows here in North Texas!! We get anywhere from 50 to 250 cars at any given show. Most are just regular people that piece their cars together at home, not all are big buck builds. Yes, the trophy's are a perk. I won a ton of trophy's with the my 63 Plymouth.
My thought about the price per pound thing is here in Texas, other hobbies include hunting, now were talking price per pound. Everyone needs a hobby!
