I feel like the happiest guy on the planet right now.
Found this on craigslist last week and picked it up yesterday.

Now I'll hang around here even more, so I can make it my own!

BTW: does anybody know where I can buy fender skirts for it?

Super ride, you did really good. Have you seen a 56 with skirts? Myself I think they look better without them. I have them on my 55 but the look is quit different on a 56 kinda changes the flow of the body lines I think but it's your ride and your mileage may differ. Have fun with your new ride....Tedd

Everyone should have fender skirts at least once in their life. After digging through the dirt and crap that builds up on the back side and cleaning out the latches so you can put them back on a few times, the novelty wears off and the urge goes away permanently.

I like the looks of the skirts. I know what you're saying though. The fender looks wider with them on there.
But I hope I don't have to lower the car when I use the skirts. Thinking it makes it look lower...

You might try 225/60/15 tires, they drop my car down enough that speed bumps are a concern yet the ride is not effected.I like them much better than the bias ply and always change them out on long trips......Tedd

Nice! I've been getting an itch for a 1950's anything car...

What are your plans for it?

I got new Firestone White Walls put on today.
'Cause the previous owner used the **** out of the old ones.
Just like the looks of wide white bias plus on it!

Plan is to make it a reliable daily. That's first priority.
All the dress up parts come later, but I'm already looking forward to that.
THinking about a metal flaked roof. not sure what color yet.
