Craigslist find 72 Cutlass

I wasn't sure which forum to post this in so here goes.

I'm thinking about calling the guy on this car. Just wondering what you all think of this Cutlass model before I do. Not that I don't have my hands full already with the 67 Cutlass. Thanks ahead for the input.
BTW, my first car was a 72 Cutlass 4 door

The price is right for a driver, and if the interior is nice as he says that's one task down. I don't know how to do body work so I avoid rust whenever I can but in the NE I suspect you have to deal with it. You can unbolt the front clip and door to replace them, it would come down to rear half of car and if the floorpans are solid. For that price I'd look at it if I had room in the driveway John

If I get it, it will be a driver and not a project car. Got one of those already. The car is something the wife said she wouldn't mind driving either after she saw the pics. She wants to go see it with me when I go Besides, there's plenty of cruise time to have some fun with it if we get it

At that price, nothing wrong with a short road trip. Cool wife! '72's aren't so bad........

Called this morning at 10:30 left a message and the guy didn't call back. At 11:45 I sent an email, ate dinner and checked email at 1:00pm. Got an email reply that car was still for sale at 12:15pm. I called the number again, got his voice mail again then sent another email. He never returned my calls. Got an email back though a short while later saying that someone just put a deposit on the car
Now I feel like I may have lost out on something at a decent price going by the pics posted. That's the way I am sometimes.
I see this post had about 50 views. Hopefully someone locally didn't jump on my potential buy because of this post. Oh well, I guess first come first served...

Still got my 67 though

Bummer

Keep watching Craigslist, I know in my part of the country interesting cars come along pretty regularly. I also surf Craigslist in the major cities to my North and South, not that I'm in the market but it's fun to see what's out there. You know your wife is open to the idea now, so you just need to find another car to fit the bill
