My 76 gave birth!

Picture042-1_zpsd6ec02fd.jpg

This is the second nest I've found. They come in from under the car and nest behind the battery.
Is there any way to get them to stop?
I just sprayed the area down with used automobile liquids and put some moth ***** in there.
My girlfriend's mom said her mom used Vick's vapor rub to stop mice from building nest in her car back in the day.
Any and all help appreciated. Thanks.

Many of those cars gave birth to a bouncing baby rear bumper.

Those look like birds, not mice. Do you know what kind of birds?
Disturbance is all I know to get them to stop. If you can bother them enough before the eggs are laid, then they will often find a different place. I have done this when they attempt to nest too close to my porch, sidewalk or over the cars outside. I do not want the surprise takeoffs or droppings. It can be good for them, too. A dove nested in the cove right by the front door. As I came up the walk the dove shot off the nest and went straight into the window. That one never returned...
