Muscle car tv
Yeah, 454 LSX. And the new around $18,000.00 frame set up. They claimed that the original frame would twist like a prezel with the new LSX modern power. Jeez, I wonder what you guys with 10 - 11 second cars are using? Nice frame though.
interesting so far
Just finished watching the next episode. Had a nice 442 in it as well as the project Cutlass.
They are going LS for an engine. I would prefer an Olds motor but I don't mind the engine. It is the easiest way to get serious horsepower going today. It is going to be a do it all ride and the only thing left Olds on the car will be the body.
The chassis is an Art Morrison. It is a work of art. I would like a price on it. Not that I could or would buy one. My Tubbed car has his rear chassis in it.
They blew it all apart and had the body blasted and power coated instead of priming it. They said it was a powder designed to be sanded and used as a base like that. Interesting concept. Much better coverage and a stronger finish. They said the total cost on that was around 1800.00 dollars
I am not much on sand blasting sheet metal. Had a couple of bad experiences with warping.
What they have done looks good so far. I will have to keep watching.

It's an interesting build. I love that chassis. I wish they would have just done another Chevelle at this point. It's not so much their choice in a motor for it that bothers me as much as them throwing around the phrase Hurst/Olds. I don't care what they call it, a tribute, clone, whatever, it's an insult to the Hurst/Olds heritage.
It only takes 5 minutes to do all that,(LOL). AGREED, more work than I want to get in to. Plus, those drip rails do serve a purpose in the "REAL WORLD", but I have always thought they do look kinda out of place looking at the car from the front. Its gunna be "CUSTOM".
