Muncie 4 speed
Hi all,
I recently purchased a 1969 GTO which I thought was all numbers matching, turns out the Muncie 4 speed has a stamping of P8C07 so March 07, 1968 and a VIN of 38M307433. I believe this is an Olds transmission from a 1968 car assembled in Lansing, MI. If by a remote chance it matches someone's VIN or at least year and build date I would be happy to reunite it. I would only want a 1969 Baltimore built or non stamped replacement case transmission in return. I know it's a longshot but posting just in case, it will probably be available until October 2021.

Is it an M20 or M21? I think I have a 69 Pontiac M20 in my car. I'll try to get the VIN derivative tonight
edit: mine is a 67... P7C22 with no VIN stamp which would have been correct for 67

That's an early build tranny by the VIN. I don't understand why the date stamp is so late. My VIN is M352110 and it's a late April build. Maybe check to make sure it's a zero....

OK that makes sense. I was thinking just the A-Bodies started with 3. I didn't realize that the A,B,& C's started at 000001
