Muffler options?
Hey guys – I just posted my “hello” in the newbies forum – I’ve got a couple of questions that I think I should start threads on here… Anyway, I’ve got a ’72 Cutlass S 445. I’ve been doing some work to it (while learning) and have it running really well. I do get some hesitation at low RPMs, but that’s another questions. I’m figuring this all out as I go, so my apologies if I ask something really, really stupid.
Anyway, the engine sounds really nice, but I would like just a bit more rumble. I don’t want anything obnoxious or wet, blap blap sounding, but I would like something more. Any suggestions on what I should do? I’ve got a 2 barrel Edelbrock carb and my brother is telling me I should drop a Rochester 4 barrel on there, but I don’t know if that will make a difference or not. Thoughts?
