Minnesota Oldsmobile

I peeled a pair of these emblems off a 1970 supreme. They were one on each front fender mid headlight a few inches aft.

Makes sense. The dot on the emblem is right where Minneapolis / St. Paul would be

Twin City Olds was my guess. But I have no knowledge of a dealership of that name.

My friend Charlie got the car from his father-inlaw who purchased it new. Charlie was not sure about the TCO emblems either. So I thought I would inquire here.

Jaunty the link is to a car jockey in a strip mall.

My guess is the badges were from an actual Oldsmobile dealership that sold Charlie's 70 Cutlass when it was a new car. The car was never repainted and the emblems have the same weathered patina as the car had.

I didn't say it was THE Twin City, just A Twin City.

I've seen a couple of cars with those. I assumed it was a dealer association marketing package like the "Great Men of Olds" cars from the mid-to-late seventies.

Interesting!

These were on a 1970 Cutlass. Charlie told me it was " like a hurst olds" so it got the special emblems. The rusty old critter is probabaly part of a bunch of import cars by now....
