Hi from Minnesota
Hey guys! Matt from the South metro of Minneapolis. Just got a basket case 65 Cutlass convertible, hence looking for info.
I grew up in Grand Rapids, Mn. My first car that I didn't ever get to (legally) drive was a 73 cutlass 350 rocket. I would take it out when my parents weren't home, and use the lawnmower gas to refill it. I was only 13, and I learned how to rebuild a carb and put in new rocker arms and some gaskets. Dad sold the motor before I could drive, and crushed the rest. Then I had a '80 Delta 2-door that we put a 425 in. I ended up buying a '81 some years later. Anyways, I'm 37 now, and those cars are all long gone. But I've got my favorite one now, just have to put it together.
I found a beautiful driver's fender, and trunklid I'm going to get on Sat. down in Iowa. A guy from Kansas has a pass door for me, and I should be all set for metal. Interior will have to wait a few months.

Welcome to our site! Looks like you've got quite a project going. Lots of helpful info on our site - you could check out the parts for sale forum and see if there's anything there you may need.

Welcome to CO, Matt! Yep, you got a project, but it's YOUR project, and the one you wanted! Good luck. Keep the pictures of the restoration coming, to show us your progress, and to assist others in theirs!

Welcome to CO Matt. I sounds like you already have leads on body parts so you know they aren't available aftermarket. We get inquiries about that subject often. As your project continues please keep us informed and we will help as much as possible. If you are the kind to document and take photos, you might consider starting a thread on your project in our major builds/projects forum.
