I have a 350 turbo transmission and I suddenly started making a knocking sound right around the flywheel and converter!!!! So i put the car on stands and I'm under it looking and I noticed someone has written metric on the converter!!! The car ran for a couple weeks after putting a new motor in it!!!

Well I took the tranny out and when I went to pour the fluid out the converter it felt and sounded like a brick was moving around in it!!!!!
So I guess I found the problem!!!!!!
