My dad used to say marriage isn’t a word, it’s a sentence. I never knew what he meant until I was married.

I will say this about marriage. My wife and I will celebrate our 57th anniversary on Sunday. It is the one thing in my life that has been absolutely perfect. She was 18 and I was 19. We have been very blessed. I am thankful for her everyday.

They say marriage is the #1 cause for divorce... In all honesty, my wife (who is also my best friend) and I have been married for 43 years. It wasn't always blissful, we had to work at it.

Met my future wife while we were students at NTSU in 1966. We married in Sept 67, I joined the Navy in November 67 and we have been best friends and support for each other ever since. Best thing I ever did was get married.

54 years this wednesday and married her in my 67 saffron 442 and have a 67 saffron 442 right now. Many many memories and wouldn't trade them for the world

 

Marriage is grand. Divorce is a hundred grand.

 

It will be 35 years this August for me and mine. Like others have said, is hasn't always been easy but we never considered the alternative; and she lets me keep car parts in the spare bedroom and the dining room (on occasion) but I'm running on borrowed time in the dining room - lol.

6/6/68, shortly it will be 55 years with the same women. There have been ups and downs but we take care of each other. There are and were some Corvettes and Oldsmobiles included. We will stay together till the end and make sure the kids and grand kids succeed. No regrets.

Seriously though, my Wife is a gem, and she's definitely made me a better man for her being in my life!

I think I'll be single for life. I've missed the window where it is advantageous for a man to get married. This doesn't stop women from chasing me, but the ages of women that chase me fall into the single for a reason group.

Congrats! The wife and I celebrated 41 ourselves early this past April with a trip to South Padre Isle. She was 17 and I was 19 when we tied the knot.
