MA car show & look what I got

I attended a car show this past weekend at the Endicott estates in Dedham MA. The show has been going on for years and hard to believe I never went. It was a nice day and I heard in the past it gets pretty hot but the clouds kept the sun from beating us down for a while. I didnt register and when I showed up they asked if I wanted to park with the Olds club and said sure! They try to keep makes together along with clubs and then general parking. I got down to the Olds section and felt right at home with some familiar faces and cars. The show was from 7am-2pm with a parade of cars after. I started packing things up around 1 and before I got done a couple official looking guys came up to me and asked if I was the owner of my car. I said "yup" and they said
"we have something for you" and handed me a plaque. I really didnt expect anything because there were so many cars but it was a pleasant surprise I must say. I dont go to shows for trophies, I go to show my car and look at other cars and meet people. It is cool to get a little recognition for hard work though I do admit.

Ill upload some pics of the show coming up

Car show pics

I tried to upload a bunch of pics but it's saying the file is too big? I used to upload 20 at a time?

Perhaps the pictures themselves are too large.

Congrats! I'm one of the two gentleman who approached you yesterday at the show. Both of us are officers in the Eastern Mass GMO Oldsmobile Club. I'm actually the head judge for the club. Your car is absolutely gorgeous and very much deserved that award. There were plenty of other possible candidates but yours really stuck out as the top car. Congratulations again!

Thanks for that Phil! How many cars you think were there?

You beat those? Nice.

Classicolds limits photos to 20 at a time, and less than 10 MB per each file. You would need a program on a computer like Paint, Irfanview, Photos and Video, Photoshop, and others, to resize the picture to a lower resolution. 1024x768 is a good one for internet use.

Irfanview is a free program that I like, it has a batch resizer.

900-1000 cars is my best guesstimate for the show. I've been coming to this show since 1995 and it's a great venue. It has gotten smaller over the years but I'm always amazed at the wide variety of cars that attend. It's not uncommon to see everything from brass-era cars up to modern muscle cars. Some of the more interesting cars I saw this year included: 1973 Pontiac GTO with a factory 3-speed manual, 1917 Locomobile, 1963 Buick Riviera convertible (professionally done conversion), 1913 Jackson, 1962 Pontiac Bonneville wagon, 1992(or 3) Taurus SHO, Chevy Laguna S3, and many more.

I'll be attending the NEOC show in September. Started going in 1999 and haven't missed one yet. Largest all-Oldsmobile show on the east coast.

I’ll be there as well, Phil, i’ll Probably meet you at the Palmer rest area on the Pike and tag along
with your group. This’ll be the 1st time with my car, third time attending.

The Riviera was a bright teal blue color. It looked like the factory could have done it. The workmanship was top-notch.

That would be the longest drive in my car yet. If I have the time available, I will try.

Make sure you use the medium sized pics when you move them.

The NEOC show is the longest drive I make in the car. It's a 240 mile round trip! Worth every mile in my opinion. I would have averaged 20 mpg for the trip if it wasn't for the traffic jam at the junction of Route 84 and the Mass Pike (Route 90). I had to get off 84 at Route 20 and take the scenic drive to 395/290. That was slow also because lots of people had the same idea, but at least it was moving. 20 mpg because the pace car has 2.41 gears.

Stiff competition. Good win. Last time I won a first place or "best Ford" it was a five car show.

I missed this show again. Thanks for the photo's.
I have the flier on the fridge to remind me of it and still forgot about it . Spent the day digging planters for the wife that day . The show would've been more enjoyable .
The estate they hold it at is very nice. Parking if not on the show field is a nightmare though.

Thanks you guys, the more I think about it the cooler it gets. It is a great car show for all makes and models, thats why I showed some stuff that I thought was worth a photo. The parking for me was fairly easy but I can only imagine a spectator. The streets on the way out were lined with cars.
