That has been my issue, monitor adjustments, camera differences. Some of the golds look alike but have different names. I think it is probably the burnished gold from other pics I found online. Can anyone tell me if the underside of the hood of a 69 should be black or the body color?

Just be glad it wasn't the 'Baroque Gold' (code 57) from 1972. That was one of the ugliest colors they could have offered and didn't look gold at all; it looked green.

Steve, pretty sure they all left the factory with the underside of the hood black. Back when these cars were new they were expected to last only 4-5 years and then traded or junked. Factories wouldn't spend more money on paint than they had to. GM and the other manufacturers were all about cost savings and profits more than quality control at the time.
