Long lost Olds pictures
[QUOTE=ent72olds;501177]
Not to hijack this post, just like most states there are pretty and down right ugly places. And to beat the Michigan drum here, the U.P. has many places such as Tahquamenon Falls and Pictured Rocks and just into the L.P. Mackinaw area.

Let me just say, thank you to all of you who are adding to this thread. It is definitely one of my favorites! 1970cs, I checked out the GMA video, and maybe the best kept secret in MI is now out! It looks like the type of place I would have loved visiting as a kid, as well as now! Who would've thunk it.....in Michigan ?! And I thought growing up on Lake Ontario was awesome.....

Was that Coleman Oldsmobile in Trenton, New Jersey?
Anyone have a photo of Philanz Oldsmobile and/or Bob Hastings Oldsmobile, both in Rochester, New York? My father bought four Oldsmobiles at Philanz between 1964 and 1973 and three from Hastings between 1979 and 1987. Would be cool to see them again.

Royal Oldsmobile, Charleston, West Virginia, where my '73 Custom Cruiser was purchased by the original owner in March of that year.

They're still in business now as a Subaru/Jeep dealer in the same location. The ad below is from a few years ago. They apparently no longer deal in Chrysler or Dodge.

There was an Oldsmobile dealership in my town, Colonial Beach, VA, long long ago. It was called Caruther's Oldsmobile. It also doubled as an Esso station. You can barely make out the name over top of the front windows. I don't know when it shut it's doors but my family was an Oldsmobile family for many years.

This is my Grandfather's '53 Olds sometime during the mid-fifties, bought from Caruther's.

This is my Dad's '66 442 4 speed in '67. This was in front of his dorm in college. He is taking the picture. This was bought new from another Olds dealer after Caruther's closed down. Someone stole the original wheels off of it and left it on cinder blocks when he was a freshman, hence the aftermarket wheels.

Philip Lanzatella, the man who founded the dealership, died in 2007 at age 87. My father's cousin worked for the dealership, which is why he bought some of this cars there. As my dad always used to say "if I'm going to be screwed, might as well be screwed by a relative."
How about Yeakle Oldsmobile from Los Angeles, CA? It got a pretty heavy mention in a story Dick Contino related to James Ellroy a few years back. I think he said they hosted a tv show called "Rocket To Stardom". Crazy.................
Yes that was a Fitch Sprint version.
"During the Sixties, the Fitch "Sprint" Corvair was marketed in various stages of tune. The power train, suspension and steering were modified to turn the car into a grand touring machine. There were also cosmetic changes including a unique "Ventop" add-on, which became a signature Sprint item."

As far as I can tell there were Coleman Dealerships in MD, VA and NJ
