Local scrap yard
So I call up the local yard this week and ask them if they have any 60's to mid 70's olds. They say they have lots, but they don't keep a record of these old cars. One of these short days I am going to take a day and go for a walk with a camera and see what if find. Any thing I should look out for?

Kyle, if you come across any '75 - '76 Ninety Eights, I'm looking for good quarter panel extensions (coupe or sedan does not matter) and a really nice black tilt-only steering wheel. Those are my primary searches in case you stumble upon either. Thanks and happy hunting!

BTW, does the yard leave the cars in tall grass, or do they raise them on blocks? Doesn't sound like there's a lot of turnover on cars if they still got stuff from the 60's and 70's. Snap lots of pics. Maybe if I see something that looks like project material, I'll swing a trip down there and say howdy.

I would think that any body part (fenders, bumpers, quarter panels, trunk lids, certainly hoods), for 1968 or 1969 Cutlasses or 442s would be of interest if they were in *good* shape as most of these parts are very hard to find and there are no repos available except patch panels, skins, fiberglass hoods and fiberglass trunk lids. Any 455 motors would be of interest as well.
Thanks for asking.
Thanks for asking.

Kyle: I hope that all the snow is gone where you live. Take pictures of any Oldsmobile that you see!
Please keep an eye out for a 1967 Delta 88 Custom or a 1968 Delmont 88. I still need a front right side wheel well trim.
You find part, me love you long time!![Wink](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

I called every salvage in town and found one that had 3/4 of a 72 cutlass supreme. Got the parts I needed except the ashtray door. Feel luck to find someone with a bunch of these cars. You might stockpile some parts if you have room.

Hey Jay,
The wheel well trim your're talking about. Would that happen to be GM Group # 8.147, GM Part # 230416-17 ? 1968 Delmont 88 Mldg. Pkg. -Front Fender Wheel Opening.
If so, I know where there are NOS Moulding Pkg's for both sides if that's the piece you are looking for. Just in case you wanted to go that way.
PM me and I can give you the contact info if you wish.
Ron

Snow... What Snow?
There's no snow here in Southern Ontario. It's been raining since April 1st. I want to get my car out of storage but I'll wait until it stops raining. I don't want to drive my car in the rain. I'm counting the days 'til I can cruise again!![Big Grin](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
