License plate size "442" sticker/70's maybe?

A co-worker had these laying around for a long time and has no idea where he got them from,so he gave them to me knowing I have a soft spot in my heart for all things Oldsmobile.
I have 4 and they are the same size as a license plate.
Anyone ever see something like this before?
Just curious as to their orgin.

thanks

Thumbs up ....Groovy!!

Looks like something thought up by Jimi Hendrix after dropping an "orange barrel" or "purple microdot"!! I guess in places not requiring TWO license plates , it would look pretty cool on one's 442 , especially a blue and white model. If there's a line forming to purchase one of those four , count me in+/- PM me! Derek

Advance Auto and places like that used to have a whole wall of these things back in the late 1970s, for about any car you could think of. Think the company was Chroma Graphics. Nope, not a factory or dealer item.

Definitely a sign of their times.

That's pretty well sums it up!

That's just what I remember too, Raider. Except I don't remember the company name. One of many ways to economically customize your car!

HEY! Watch it! I actually had a pair of these back in my young and stupid high school days (that would be the early 1970s for you kids). You put them BELOW the real plates to avoid problems with the police and to allow the aftermarket plates to get torn off by parking curbs.
