Leak fix in a can

I see ads for this stuff all over the place, fix your oil leak just add this.
Has anyone tried this stuff?
Does it work?
What does it do to the original oils viscosity and life span?
cheers Scott

Mostly it has chemicals that soften and swell the oil seals, a temporary fix, you will need to address the fault that caused the leak sometime.
