just when things are looking good...
SOOOO.... with the 69 almost back on the road i guess my other car got jealous and something happened to the clutch today on the way to work.... my guess is the engagement fork decided to break on me but not 100% sure til i can look at it and get it fixed. FML this always happens it seems lol ok done ranting for the moment on here
lol thanks oldcutlass buddy old pal.... i was looking for some good news
And then i think i left my phone on the back of the tow truck and it flew off somewhere when he drove off...
Hopefully all this bad news is adding up to good news for tonight whn we figure out the wiring and she fires right up. then its put the fenders and hood back on and safety inspection and she is back on the road

A manual transmission is the easiest thing in the world to work on!!!! A full clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing, will not break the bank. A clutch fork is easily had and repaired! If you do it yourself I bet it can be repaired for under $300.00! Don't throw your car away over some minor maintenance issue!
Lots stuff can happen to clutches you dont even think about. Years ago, driving my daily front drive Chevy, and felt a snap in the pedal. The pedal started vibrating and clutch wouldn't grab much anymore. Turns out several of the pressure plate fingers cracked. Good news for you is, you've got a virtual cake walk compared to doing a front driver. I agree with replacing the whole clutch assembly including resurfacing the flywheel.
