Congrats. I was watching Chasing Classic Cars with Wayne Carini last night and he took a car to Kuwait and won third place. Then in another episode he sold several cars for some guy. One was a 1969 Hurst Olds. The guy had spent big bucks having the car restored. He took the car to the Gooding Auction and it brought $85,000. The interesting part was that not one time did he mention the car was a Hurst Olds. He just referred to it as a 442. The auctioneer did the same thing. Could he be that ignorant of a Hurst Olds or was there some reason he could not mention it on TV. I mean we are talking the Holy Grail of muscle cars.

I see the two 442s are just gorgeous at that show both have the W30 side stripes, they look really nice. I like the blue one too

I think the round trip for the car alone was around $18k

This has got to be great publicity for your business of restoring muscle cars.
I see you won last year as well with your 72 Chevelle SS. That's great.
I wonder how someone gets invited to something like this ??
I'm guessing you have a global business contact list ??
Very admirable accomplishment
Kuwait is a very very rich oil $$$ country, and one of the reasons the US was so quick to defend them.

The people of Kuwait could not have been nicer or more welcoming. They are truly generous hosts. I must admit that at first I was aprehensive about going in 2011, but I was pleasantly surprised. The whole culture is based around cars! HH Shiekh Nassar has over 2,000 cars in his collection. There are no bars or clubs as liquor is not legal in the country. Guys meet girls the same way I did as kid.....cruise the boulevard! Very cool culture.
As for my business, I do not restore cars professionally. I just have the car guy disease. I restored the car in my home's 2 car garage. Pics at link below.
DreamWorks Musle Cars, represents buyers in finding vehicles that are rare and not typically available for sale via traditional means (internet, newspaper, ebay). Many times, the cars I find are not activley for sale. I will then represent the buyer in the transaction. Pics will go back and forth. If there is a further interest, we will get a professional appraisal. If there is a deal to be made, depending on geographics, I will take my trailer, do one last inspection on the vehicle, hand over the check and take the title and vehicle right on the spot. If the vehicle needs restoration, I will manage the project with the restoration facility. Once complete, I will coordinate the trip to the client's doorstep.

Not sold but I am considering selling my 72 Chevelle SS454 Convertible (one of 70 est. and one of 26 left), last year's Concours winner. I'm going for my AACA Senior Grand National in June; it was invited to attend the Concours d'Elegance of America - St John's in July; and in November MCACN it will be in the "W" code display. After that, the car has won all awards that I wanted to win.
Time to start fresh.
The 72 442 Convertible in the pic was built to drive!
