Kind of a trivial question: On my 57 Olds, the aluminum door sill strip plates (the 2" aluminum plates that run along the bottom of door sills) do not have a Fisher emblem on them. Is this standard for my car or are these possible after market?

 

Mine do not have fisher on them and I believe they are original

Isnt' the body by fisher and the body number on one of the plates under the hood?

 

I'll have to look for that under the hood, but I don't recall seeing it anywhere on the car.

 

Fisher has been making bodies for so long I am sure that they put their tags in various places over the years. i know that on my dad's 29 model A it was on the firewall.
