CARLISLE SHOW

All day Thursday and Friday, leaving about noon Saturday. OCA Road Show will be at Ed Fochi's spaces; look in the free program for location.
We're staying either in Gettysburg or Chambersburg, not sure which, my Pontiac bud made the reservations. We've found it's 1) cheaper than sleeping in Carlisle, 2) less crowded restaurants and 3) if we stay in Gettysburg we get to mess around the Battlefield in the evenings. If you get the chance, drive the 30 miles south to Gettysburg and see the Alabama monument on the Battlefield.
Up front- not a lot of Olds stuff at these shows anymore. You have to dig for it.
Have you ever been before? if not, let us know and we'll give ya some tips about parking and getting around.

I've had the opposite experience. Seems like I find more Olds stuff now than five years ago. Unfortunately, it's not exactly cheap, but I always manage to find something. One year it was a 455 block, another a pair of 455 cranks drilled for pilot bearings, this summer it was a 71 TVS valve (with attached very rusty intake).

This may sound dumb, But when ya see a crank at a swap me that's been drilled for a pilot bearing. How do you know it's been done right?
