Junk in the Trunk!

I don't know what should be in my trunk, meaning- cardboard, carpet, something else? I'd love to see pictures of your trunk (if you've actually tried to make it look good). I've got a 1964 Dynamic 88, and I'd like to make it look at least presentable, if not all the way back to factory, but I really don't know what that looks like. How does a person finish the trunk to make it look good?

I cleaned the sheetmetal as well as possible, sprayed it with spatter paint, and used thin lightweight outdoor carpet. It kinda looks like the carpeting in late model cars, doesn’t hold moisture like the factory rubber mat would, and is cheap.

I think there was a remnant of a cardboard insert in the trunk of my 64 98. I never refinished it. The OE trunk insert in my 71 98 is in fair condition. Not as nice as the trunk of my 96 98 though.
