Election stolen from him?

You mean such as members who didn't like Yancey et al, his/their behavior and antics - urged friends and other Chapter members to vote for the other guy?!?!

Yancey can only blame himself for not winning; members didn't want him in the position any longer and voted him out.

That's what he claims, fraud is the reason for his loss. I'll tell you why I voted against him,not because I thought Jerry Wilson was better than Yancy and I didn't even know who Jerry Wilson was. I voted against Yancy because he's a liar. He said he supported the racing effort but was really trying to do away with it. I was in the board meeting in Seattle when it was brought before the BOD about funding and supporting racing and adding classes for the race cars. Granted, they were told it would increase membership,so they went along with it. When it didn't help membership or it helped very little,Yancy was trying to kill it. I could see if it was a burden on the OCA but with money in reserve, what harm was it doing? I know this because a former board member told me so and they don't lie.

I don't blame the treasurer (whoever it would be) for not paying without some sort of written authorization. The same thing would be needed for paying the race committee for expenses to set up each race. Even though the BOD authorized payment, without written authorization, no payment should be made.

Hey edz , don't make up a new excuse.

He admitted he overlooked it.

But he also Blamed the BOD for not reminding him TO DO HIS JOB.

Below are Crowdis' words from his rebuttal.

Did he say anywhere he didnt get an invoice? Noooooooo

Did he state anywhere he needed authorization? nooooooo

Stop making up excuses and stick to the facts.

Rebuttal ................

(Gene's Response) Each year the OCA Board of Directors has been presented with a full financial report and a proposed operating budget. Every member on the Board had an opportunity to point to that the contribution to the R. E. Olds Transportation Museum had not been made. As with the others on the Board it was overlooked by the OCA treasurer.

Even a moron in accounting principles would fire their treasurer or financial advisor, if you only saw them once a year and they forgot or refused to bring your checkbook + register! This is NOT "rocket science" here. The interest loss on the CD is small, a 250K error in accounting is a lot. As far as donations...the OCA doesn't give 100 different donations out each year. I belong to many clubs that give 10-20 donations a year. 1 standing donation for 500. each year should not be too hard to account for. Remember...if you are an OCA member, it's YOUR $ + my $ that we are talking about. We have a brand new website that has ZIP on it. Check it out. You TX guys that are behind Gene are being hoodwinked. He messed up, plain + simple. It takes a big man to admit he made a mistake. Not only will he not admit making any mistakes, he refuses to give out the info to fix them. Are you kidding me?

I haven't heard anything but I don't expect him to be recalled. The next election is next year and that's when it will happen.

Is there 1 CD or 2 CDs? The Financial Compilation calls out 2. The math indicates there is only 1.

How did the CPA overlook a $250000 error?

The compilation was released without BOD approval. - which is a violation of bylaw.

Just bringing information to the forefront.

Thanks for posting that Pete, the masses need to know his arrogance and incompetence. I don't hate the guy but his actions are beyond the pale. It all has to do with their apple cart being turned over and instead of manning up and going ahead with their life, they have choose to cause havoc. It's a sad commentary when losing an election/position causes impotency.
