Installing 66-67 glove box door

Ok, guys, I feel like a total idiot asking this butI took my dash apart to restore the dash, trying to put the door back on asI removed the hinge from the door and the dash.. i cannot figure out how to put this spring loaded freaking contraption back in, one way you cannot access the hinge to the body, the other way you cannot access screws to theglove box..Any help please?

Ok, I finally figured it out...glove box has to come out so I could access screws.. pain in the ***..lol

Andy, here is a pic of the door installed on my 66. If I recall, I mounted the hinge to the door first, then to the dash. Hope this helps.

did you put the inner glove box in after that? I ended up taking the glove box out, it was the original so I need to get her a repro for it anyhow. Because it got tore up taking it out

Put the liner through the hole sideways, don't try from the bottom. I think the wide side will fold over enough to get it through.
