Does anyone want to get together in Indy again this year? Meet at the Suds on the south side? I am thinking a weekend in September maybe? Labor day weekend is likely out for me. We are going to try to hit the Turkey Run state park car show that weekend. Speaking of that, Anyone want to go to the Turkey Run car show 08-31-13?

I wouldn't mind hosting again if anyone is interested. Any & all Oldsmobiles or other makes welcome. I will provide some food, & drinks, contributions welcome.
Checking my schedule, it looks like Saturday September 14th would work best for my family.
I'm thinking we can gather at my place, shoot the bull for a bit & then maybe take a 5 minute trip up the road to my storage lot, or "junkyard" to check out some cars?? Any/all wives are welcome to stay at my place with my wife(Mrs. packrat) while the guys do their thing at the lot?

Then later we can travel about 15 minutes south to the "Suds". It's a local hot cruise spot that's been there for 40 years or so?? Usually on a good night, you can expect to see 300-400 cars roll through.
I'm thinking about a loose schedule with people welcome to stop by my house around 1:30 or after & end at the Suds about 4:30-5:00, with participants staying there as long as they want?
Any other ideas or questions?

wow, Suds, haven't been there in a while. well, mainly since I moved back to chi-town 10 years ago :-) Have been to or through Indy many times since, but Sept 14 is out - Pure Stock Drags in Michigan

 

I'd like to join, depending on everything else in life at that time though.

 

If you gentlemen will tolerate a 72 Monte Carlo in your midst, I could go.

My 442 is barely drivable at the moment.

 

Any and all makes and models are welcome.

not sure yet. We may do some college tours that Friday and Saturday which means we will either be there (Purdue and IU) or MI (MI and MSU)

 

Purdue is the only choice.

Unfortunately, I will be watching the Boilers get rolled by ND that evening in Ross Ade stadium.

 

This Saturday.

 

Sorry but I will not be able to make it. Family commitments(no mater how unpleasant) must come first before my pleasure.

 

Thanks for the invite in my newbie thread, glad to see there is an active group here locally....even see another fellow Boiler in this thread!

Can't make it this Saturday, but would be great to see some other folks cars sometime.

I don't have the car to drive, but was planning on going to the Suds already so I'll have to look for you guys. I get down there about once a month to walk around but never see too many Oldsmobiles. If your on the road coming down tomorrow be safe.

we plan to be there about 545 or so? Just look for all the Oldsmobiles.

 

It was nice to get to meet Scott and Eric, maybe next year we can actually bring our car (if it is rolling) and meet everyone prior to going to the Suds. Always a bunch of cool cars at the Suds.

 

Had a great time! Met new people and got to look at several great Oldsmobiles.

Wish I was there, ended up going to see Wisconsin schools and MI schools but my daughter may have a soccer tourney in Indi come early November - if so I'll stop in then for sure and we'll visit Purdue, Butler and Indiana
