Indianapolis get together?

just wondering if anyone or how many in the Indiana area would be interested in meeting up at a dairy queen or Dog and Suds or somewhere on a Friday or Saturday evening. i am flexible on the date but if there are a couple of you that want to meet up somewhere let me know. Friday and Saturdays work best for me. i have no idea of places to go in the Indy area so if you have a particular place that is good let us know.

or maybe if there is a cruse in somewhere we could fill it with Oldsmobiles

i just got the Automatic in the Rallye 350 and want to get out for some drives.

There is a cruise in every Friday evening at Washington Square mall. Usually not too many Olds, but usually nice turnout and crowd.

Jensen,
Mancutty & I have been talking about this for a while. There is an excellent place on the south side of Indianapolis(actually Greenwood). I've been going there for at least 25 years & I know it was up & going for years before that. It's called the Suds. Not dog 'n suds, just the suds. They cruise there on Saturday afternoon/evening. On a nice day, probably 500 cars will be through there. We have been talking about having a get together at my house near there & caravaning from there. I've got July the 16th open if that will work for anyone else? I could probably get another 3-4 cars to join in.
Let me know.

i have another local guy that may be coming also. he has a 69 442 convertible. he also said that the 16th would be good so i will just plan the 16th for sure and anyone that can come would be great.

w-30dreamin... how long of a drive would it be for you? greenwood is a little over an hour for me in the Rallye.

69350rocket... will the car be on the road by the 16th?

I sure hope so! I have a lot of stuff happening with it right now though. Brakes are getting done late this week/ early next week. Then the car will be getting body work done all next week, and then painted the week after. Hopefully if I hurry I can have it all done and painted by then. Would love to take the car out on a road trip. I live just outside of Rochester so it would be close to two hours for me to get there.

just don't get into a hurry and do something you wish you would have taken more time on. we can always do it again later in the summer.

Thumbs up

Two weeks ago I was at a show in Plainfield. The Indiana OCA rep asked if I was interested in an Olds only show in mid-October. That's pretty far off. I have plans for the evening of the 16th, but would be avaialble morning and early afternoon.

19starfire62,
I'll probably be around all day at my house on the south side, near Long's bakery. Give me a call if you want & come on down. There might be a couple/few cars here anyway & it would be good to meet you.

It would probably take me 2 hours one way, maybe a tad longer.

Will you all be meeting at Suds for a longer stay or just an hour or so? Would it be worth me driving down? Don't want to go that far to just end up shaking a few hands and turning around to go back home right away.

thanks
Walter

I was thinking we could have a little sex(sexy cars), drugs(Longs donuts & coffee), & rock & roll(rock chips & roll on the gas) at my place for an hour or two, then head to the suds? It really starts getting crowded about 5:00ish, so we could meet at my place at 3:00-3:30? & leave about 4:30ish? It takes like 10 minutes to get there & you can stay as long as you want of course. There are cars rolling through there till after dark.

Hi all,
Just wanting to get some kind of head(& car) count so i can know what to expect for the weekend. If you are pretty sure you're coming, could you please reply to this thread &/or call me. I've spoken to a couple people already & I think there will be between 5 & 20 cars here. You might want to bring your cameras(& cash if you need any parts) & feel free to arrive anytime after 2:30. I plan to leave for the Suds between 4:30 & 5:00 to hopefully be able to get several parking spots together.
I'm just south of 465, still in Indianapolis, off of hiway 65. Exit 103, go to the right(west) through 4 stop lights, then you'll be in a 25 mph speed trap, watch your speed! Just before the RR tracks, turn right (north) onto Derbyshire. Take the first right(east) onto Tulip Drive. The road immediately Y's. Stay to the right at the Y & I'm the third driveway on the left.
Thanks.
Scott

Sorry,I couldn't make it,I would have liked to but was asked to work a double plus.Worked from friday morning 6:00 am to saturday morning 7:00 am,only 3 hours off in between. With the current state of things, work is top priority.
Maybe if there is another get together I will be able to make it.

So,how did things go? I'll bet it was a nice time.
Any pics?
Details?
