IL Route 66 Gas Station Pics

Hello, My wife and I headed to St. Louis this weekend and we stopped by a couple towns along RT 66 to see some old gas stations. The standard oil station is in Odell IL and is really cool. The inside has a lot of the old tools and oil cans they used to use. The mobile station isn't really an old gas station but looks like someones personal garage. It's still pretty cool.
The old Shell station is in Mt. Olive IL, we didn't go into it, but it looks neat from outside. I thought maybe people could post old pics of other stations if they had them.

More Rt 66 station pics

My son and I started out Route 66 trip last summer. We made it from Chicago to Springfield. We will go back to Springfield and head west soon.

Here are some stations we saw. Some of them looked so polished you know they were only like that when new!
We can't wait to get back.

Nice pics. I like the one that is in Dwight. My wife and I are going to take our 72 Olds from Chicago to Pontiac on Route 66 soon. I heard there is a nice Auto Museum in Pontiac that is worth checking out.
Thanks for posting the pics.
