Identify 200 4-R Tranny

Happy Turkey day all.
I am trying to decide if this core is worth rebuilding.
I belive it to be an early version, but I am not sure.
It is O S 46170. So says the tranny tag...
Thanks for any info guys, Adam.

That 2 letter code doesn't sound right at all for a 200-4r.
Sounds more like an old th400 code. Most Oldsmobile transmissions I've seen were marked O G

You can identify it by the pan also. Check this link with easy pics. Not sure what motor you're running, but it will cost a pretty penny to put it behind a big block.

Not a 400. Small like a 350, has metric across the bottom of the pan.
I have an OG in my 69 442. Looking to build a 200 for the overdrive...
It was behind a 350 Olds. I was told the drivetrain came out of a late model buick that was wrecked.

Yes, I got a bid from a fella out of San Marcos for $1200.
Says it will take up to 500 horses. When I get my 455 in it
it may push 400, maybe.
Still beats the hell out of a gearvenders for $3500.
