I was robbed yesterday

First off I am ok. Understandably, a little shaken. I was robbed at the gas station . After my hands stopped trembling, I managed to call the police. The whole thing was caught on camera. The officers were quick to respond and calmed me down, explaining this is happening all over. My money is gone, all of it, but I am alive, that’s all that matters. The police asked me if I knew who did it. I said yes.….
It was pump #3...lol...

Norm, I think you missed it. I filled my Expedition up yesterday and it was the first time it hit $100. It was close to full but I think the pump cut off at $100. I have never used E85 but I have on hte last two tanks and it seems okay. The vehicle is made to use flex fuel and it is $0.15/gallon cheaper. I try to fill up before it get to 1/4 tank because it holds 30 gallons and the sticker shock would be too great if it was near empty.

LOL! I'm glad I don't need to use premium in my everyday cars.

Me to MagicMan. That is one benefit of still having the smog motor in my Hurst Olds. It loves 87 octane and I mean loves it.

He played you, Norm. He was just funnin', I think.

Although in this day and age, I might expect a post with that headline to be serious.

Glad you're Ok. Money can be replace but your life can't.

Curious actually and just thinking outside the box here but does your insurance cover such an event under the "act5 of god" stuff?

Mine have turocharged performance engines so premium is required. I fill up maybe every 3 weeks so it's not too bad, but the wife drives nearly 100 miles a day so she is on a first name basis with the gas station employees.

Towed an RV last week about 7 hours with a gas powered 6.2L F250 in the mountains...$$$. The hill at the entrance was 2 miles with some 18% grades.

I wanted to make a 350 mile round trip to an antique expo today. When I calculated it would cost me close to $90 in gas to make the trip I decided to sit my happy *** here at home.

First the plague, now fuel prices. All I can figure is somebody somewhere is determined to keep people away from each other, and to bankrupt them in the process!

Diesel fuel is one thing. Gasoline? That why I said, "I go, we all go!" Its would be pretty ballsy to do that with gas.

Jesus Christ, you got me toymobile. My heart sunk till the last sentence .... 😂

Maybe it's the NYC in me, where things are rapidly going back to the bad old days...

Anyway glad it was just a funny. And let me add my recent memo to my friends and family.

"Last 3 times I put gas at same Mobil on Queens Blvd.

05/13/2022 5.25 a gallon
05/17/2022 5.45 a gallon
05/21/2022 5.59 a gallon"
