I couple of questions
1. How do get the pulley of the power steering pump.
2. I want to do some cosmetic work on the engine side of my wheel wells. They have the outer plastic coating coming off. Do I pull it off and sand?
3. I do wanna put a mild cam and intake. I know this is a complicated question but my desire is to take it out on weekends and on engine bad assess I want it a 6.4

On my 76 , I wanted to replace my pump and pulley with a chrome unit with new aluminium pulley. I tried using a puller but couldn't get it off the pump. I had to get the pulley off in order to get my bracket off. So I disk ground the OEM pulley off.

Yeah I guess 6.4 wasn't the best analogy. Basically I want to be able to tell a noticeable difference in power under the hood. Will I be able to get that with a edlebrock 2711 and a mild cam from summit and feel good about it at the end of the day? Or will it be such a minor difference that it's not wow the time and money.

1. Take nut off (best zipped off with an impact). Wiggle/gently tap pulley if it's stuck.
2. "Outer plastic coating" ?? They're solid plastic - no 'coating'. Clean 'em up with , in order of severity, soap & water, light scrubbing with Scothbrite pad or fine steel wool. Some have used oven cleaner with good results, but be careful. Once clean, paint with suitable semi-gloss paint for plastic.
3. You need to provide much more info for a meaningful response. Original 1972 350 engine ? Was originally a 4bbl or 2bbl ? What heads ? to start...

The heads say 7 A. It was originally a 4 barrel. I have a Edelbrock600 on it now. Has stock duel exhaust. The Trans is a hydromatic400 . I have to figure out how to send a pic on my phone to show u the wheel wells. It's got this thin layer of like a clear coat of plastic that's just flaking away but it's looks original to me at least. Thanks for the response
