I just had mine repaired by Jim Warner - Exline Signal, Exline, IA. You can contact him at Jim@exlinesignal.com
He has a website too. The one I had took some sort of high voltage "hit" and took out a few components. The digital read out was fine. Not sure if those little Nixie tubes( I think they call them) are available. Anyway Cost was $203 for mine to fix. Also, very Important....put a 1am inline fuse on the 12v+ lead as a preventative measure to keep higher voltages out of the unit. (Jim didn't know what could have taken out all the components on mine -( maybe jumping the car at one time....just not sure)!

Thank you for sharing this I will email Jim and see about getting mine in for a tune up. I did find some info about the display i believe they are called a Sperry sp-352 which is a neon gas display. They are still available NOS kind of on ebay. I am thinking of getting a couple just for the future. I will see what Jim says. I would think it would be cool if the tach can be coverted to LED or something newer. Will try to remember to share my adventure. What finish do you have on your tach case? I am thinking about having it refinished.

Jim us pretty reasonable.
My case is kind of a flat or satin black finish.
good on finding the little readout maybe relay that to Jim Warner, but he probably knows a source too.
