Tach starting to read backwards? 84 Hurst
Tach starting to read backwards? 84 Hurst
Good afternoon everyone! Happy Fathers day to the Fathers out there!
Hoping someone has had this issue before. My 84 Hurst, the tach used to read double, which is a common problem with them, and I know how to fix that, but never got around to it. However recently the tach reads double up until 3k rpms, then begins to read backwards. Will soldering the points on the back of the tach to fix the reading double issue, fix this as well? Has anyone else ran into this? Thanks!

Update::
I just soldered the points together, and this fixed my reading double problem, however still reading backwards once it gets to 3k RPMS. Also noticed when I turn the ignition on, it starts at 1k RPMS, instead of 0 like its supposed to. Anyone have any suggestions?
