Hurst dual gate

Is a 67 GTO dual gate the same as the Olds dual gate. Will it mount and fit into my 72 Cutlass s floor console ? It looks real close with only the bottom brackets looking slightly different. I will try and post a pic. Thx

yes and no...

gto the stick is straight

it has the right shift plate

but the H/O has a very specific floor bracket..but theres enough around on ebay you could copy it

there have been 5 or 6 real H/O shifters go thru ebay cheap in the last year or so....they where mislabled and went cheap cheap...

i nrecently bought one at a swap meet this spring for 40 bux...the guy said it was an over the counter camaro shifter...it was a real H/O shifter someone cut the brackets on...they are out there

I just installed an Olds dual gate in my 71.
I found a 67 gto dual gate on ebay to see pics, looks nothing like my Olds unit.
It may work with plenty of modifications but it's not gonna be a bolt in swap.

Wow looks like a bid difference. A lot wider, these Olds consoles are on the thin side as it is so might not be worth the extra effort to save $200 thx Well if one comes along that's not a $700 knockoff (OPG) I'm listening

Given the value of factory consoles, it would be pretty foolish to hack one up to fit a non-original shifter.
