I grew up in FL so I bicycled in shorts, but I learned soon to tie up the laces of my shoes so the chain wouldn't eat them.

Reminds of my youth! A couple of my favorites Hurst and Schwinn. I had a mag scrambler BMX bike with a full chrome finished frame. Best bike in the neighborhood. Also had a collegiate 10 speed for my paper route, a very tough bike!

I'd love to have one hanging in my garage next to the car!

I had a Dan Gurney BMX bike in late 70’s, it was cool but not as cool as that Hurst!

IIRC I sold it to a family I knew, it got stolen from the kid a week later & I think they suspected me. Not the case, I felt terrible for him & figured it was so uncommon (chrome diamond frame, nylon mags, other goodies) I’d see some Ahole riding it it but never did.

I was thinking it was a one off but the guy listed some hurst parts, like the grips in bags new. . I’m not sure. You can check out the thread at tee Yenko super car forum.

What is the little shifter for? This is way cool, but it'd be so much better if it was decked-out like a Sting-Ray, w/ a 5-speed, tall shifter w/ a ****, banana seat and sissy bar, maybe even some chopper yokes. Loved those bikes as a kid. Oh, and a proper chain guard.
