Hunting: My Father's 1954 Holiday 88 Blue/Black Coupe
Trying to find the first new car that my father ever bought. There are only a few pictures of it, but it was a bit unusual in that it was a blue with black two tone. The car was sold new in Philly. My parent's moved to Asheville, N.C. around 1960, and according to my sister they still had it then. Sometime in the early 60's he traded it in at a dealership in the Asheville area. No idea where it may have gone after that. I unfortunately have not found any info regarding the VIN. I've attached the only pic I have currently. I have access to a ton of my mom's slides which have a few better pictures, but it will take me days and days to find them. Someone jumbled them all up, so nothing is in proper sequence anymore. I'm really not sure where to start, but I figured this might be a good place for some help, motivation, and direction. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
The chance of finding a car that you last knew the whereabouts of more than 50 years ago is about nil. The chances are greater than 99% that the car no longer exists and has been recycled into a bridge support beam somewhere.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Unfortunately Jaunty is correct but that should not stop you from seeking the identical car(color combo, options ect.). If you are lucky enough to find a identical car there is always the possibility it was his and that is how I would think of it.
