HOW SHOULD I REPLACE MY RUSTED GAS TANK

Hey guys, I was trying to clean up my 74 cutlass for my first car show last week , as I was trying to clean the spider webs from the undercarriage gas started pouring from 3 different places. My tank was rusted out. So now do I go to the salvage yard and buy one for maybe $25.00 and risk it being rusted also, or buy a new one from (major chain part store) for $137.00 quoted price? What should I do?

A new tank is best especially if its the same style and made of metal if original look is preferred....a junkyard tank is a gamble but better than nothing.
