What colour is the hood release linkage?

 

If you're talking about the secondary latch under the hood, I believe it was finished in matte black, although sometimes you see someone who's painted it silver. I think they do that for contrast to show it off when the hood is up. If you're talking about the T handle and linkage under the front tongue, it was not painted, and the handle is black plastic. (This is for 71/72 Cutlass - I'm not sure about other years)

 

Yeah i am talking about everything but the actual mechanism. I know it is supposed to be phos coated
