My '65 Cutlass didn't have a hood insulator when I bought it. I just received a brand new one from Fusick. The only issue is I'm not sure which side of it is suppose to be facing the engine and which side of it is suppose to be up against the hood. The insulator has a finished side that is black and an unfinished side that is gray. Any ideas?

The Fusick catalog says the smooth side faces the hood. Somebody should chime in if this is correct.
