What's the highest mileage Olds out there that hasn't had a major overhaul?

 

That's going to be hear say. I wonder if it would be a classic or later model Oldsmobile?

Pre fuel injection, I would say.

 

Maybe not. Fuel injection keeps raw gas off the cylinder walls adding to engine life.

 

I meant to say timeframe-wise. I'm sure a 2000s Olds would outlast our old cars with ease.

I would suspect a 1964 330 2BBL A2 Olds. Although the Jetaway doesn't have a great reputation. That melo combo and great engine should do the trick. Something along the lines of Rachel Veitch's 1964 Comet with that same level of committed owner. Would love to see her diary on the Comet. Particularly how she handled gas going from leaded to unleaded. Did she use additives ...

P.S. Pleasantly surprised we have a member here 68442 who as of 5 years ago had managed around 225,000 miles on a 1970 442, no rebuilds, just timing chain.

 

A friend of mine has a great great great uncle who has an original curved dash Olds with over 1,000,000 miles.

 

'88 Cutlass Supreme Classic, 256k, only have done the timing chain. Engine and transmission have never been out of the car.
