hERE AT THE OCA NATS.

Here at the OCA Nats. Weather has been great and a whole lot better than the reports I am getting from my buddy in Florida. Last night he said it was 108* at noon, with 100% humidity during the day! It was 64 * last night and 80* with 55% humidity here in Milwaukee, WI during the day.

Yesterday was a good swap meet day, as I did over $600. Today I did $392. I expect the same tomorrow and a really good selling day on Friday when most people come with cars and searching for parts. Don't expect a banner day on Saturday, however going to stay as long as someone is looking and buying.

Sold about 80% of my NOS parts on Tuesday and Today. Also, sold some of my race car parts that are new in the box. Of course you have the low ballers and I stick to my reasonable pricing and they pass, however they come back still trying to under cut my price, however I stand on my price. Then they buy! LOL Olds original parts are getting scares!

Put the F85 W31 on the show field and some even came by my swap meet space to compliment about the quality of the car. It is just kind of hard for me to show it as it is not as crisp as in 2010 and 2011. It is really showing it's age, cause I do drive it!

Not very many cars on the show field. As usual I expect most cars will show up this Friday. I was told by the Wisc. Club they have over 500 cars registered and about 130 trailers signed up for parking. They also ran out of swap meet space and are now using the drive ways between parking spaces to accommodate vendors!

I've been here on and off since Monday. Been at my swap space since Tuesday and I'm burned and tired not sure if I'm going to have the energy to last till Saturday. A lot of friendly and interesting people here.

at the show

TomsW31 (Tom Jensen) & RocketDevo (Devon Webb) are both at the event. Spoke with Devon yesterday. I would love to have attended but not this year (damn oil business collapse is killing me).

Met & remet a few guys, all good people. Weather is good if a bit hot. Not nearly as many vendors as I expected to see but that can be good for the ones of us that are here.

Is there a day that someone unregistered can just see a car show? I was looking at their site and it didn't look like it It's so close to me this year I figured I'd ask!

Never, ever have I seen so many 442's and Cutlasses in one location! I was simply overwhelmed by the sheer numbers.

Report is that all tolled, there are 476 rides at the meet.

True That! They had to open another area yesterday (Friday) for swap meet vendors who showed up and even opened another for trailer parking! Probably the largest swap meet ever. They ended up turning away about 28 cars that also showed up Friday as there was no room on the show field! I was told by a Wisc Club member they had 500 cars on the show field as of Friday morning just before judging started.

I did pretty good today as I stayed past 3:30 PM. A lot of low ballers who came back from this morning and still met my price. LOL

I'll be a the OCA Nats. in Tenn. next year. Probably not going to bring the F85 W31 car. I will fill the race car trailer with parts instead! Not going to do anymore restorations so it is time to sell everything.

Actually it is about 25 miles west of Bristol, in Kingsport, Tenn., right on the Tenn./Virginia border, on I-26.

Sorry I missed you, but did have a chance to see your W-Machine up close and in person. Very impressive!
