Help with Strange RPO Decal on 1983 98 Regency

Hello Everyone!

I have a 1983 Olds 98 Regency 2dr lt gray with a white 1/4 leather roof and all the usual as well.
On the RPO decal at the very bottom following the last line of codes it says
Show Car

I wonder if anyone else had this on their RPO and if so what do you know.

My Thanks!

back in the day when I was Mr Goodwrench, I recall faintly that there was a program or ritual where certain cars that got pulled from the line and were inspected if they passed with super flying colors then they were marked to sit on the dealers floors. I know there was SOME indication, but I do not recall if it was 'show car' on the SPI label.

Wish I knew the answer but don't. I have looked at thousands of RPO labels over the years and have never seen that before.
My speculation is that the car was destined for an event or promo and it was a way to let line workers know to go above and beyond on it.
Even a run of the mill event could have triggered management to make sure it was not a Monday morning car.
I see the car on CL. Nice unit.
