Help ID'ing

Hello all,

As you all may have noticed I've been cleaning out my garage and I ran across this vacuum switch. Can anyone tell me what it is or for? It had about an 8' vacuum hose on the end with the wire terminals.

Looks like a electric fuel pump, need to see more angles, to tell.

Yeah, I was going to say that's an in-line electric fuel pump. Could be 15 psi (for TBI systems) or could be 45 psi. The plastic fitting is probably the suction end. The barb fitting on the output end suggests it's a 15 psi pump.

OK, got it. That's a Carter P60504 pump. Only 4psi, so designed for carbs. That explains the barb fittings on both ends. Still available new in the $40-$50 range.

That makes more sense than a vacuum switch.

OK, it's not exactly the Carter pump, but it looks like a clone. In any case, it's a fuel pump, likely a 4-6 psi pump.
