Head light upgrade

Just looking for opinions on newer headlight options , my 72 Cutlass has the original T3 headlights and was just thinking of upgrading. What have you guys used, positives, negatives. Thanks

Any bulb will work better than those. I have them in my car still - it is like driving in the dark as they were dull to begin with and seeing that they are 45 years old I'm sure they have lost much of their original power. I do not know how well the repos work. They are supposedly much brighter but I have no comparison. Many folks just put in halogen replacements, others change out the wiring and do major upgrades.

I myself would like to know if its worth upgrading to the T3 repos.

This is what my car has had since the early '80s. I can see quite well at night with them.

I'm also interested in new headlights. I live in Deer country and the better you can see at night the better off you are. I dont drive my car much at night I try to stay away from it. I saw on eBay there was a little connector for the new headlights I was thinking maybe you needed these because of the extra heat made by the halogen bulbs.

Halogen sealed beam bulbs will be your next step upgrade, maybe a relay setup to optimize the feed to them. After that it's E-Codes, HID or LED.

I still have T3's and if I find I need more light I click on the hi beams. The newer replacements are a bit more bright.

I have halogens in my 72 Cutlass and my 54 Olds and they are lots better than the old regular headlights.

I haven't needed anything like that on my car.
