Tonight we've had a baby as a cow, a sheep too, baby Superman, toddler boxing champ, zombie volleyball team, toddler train engineer, baby jack'o lantern, baby Charlie Brown. The best we have had all night was toddler Jesse and baby Walter White, with glasses, goatee and Heisenberg hat. They rang the doorbell and when I answered I said, "Ring the bell? Shouldn't Walter be the one who knocks?"
Hope you all have a Happy Halloween!

I'm jealous texxas. One of the drawbacks to living in the country is no trick-r-treaters. So instead we decked out the theater and had friends over for scary movie night.

Or one of the advantages depending on how you look at it.
We moved to a different neighborhood in Dallas last year and in our old neighborhood, Lake Highlands, we would get between 200-300 trick or treaters. I spent $180 on candy last year and ran out just before 8pm. This year the ones I mentioned were all we got. There are a lot of older people in my current neighborhood and they all had their porch lights turned off. They aren't very friendly for the most part, but they do like to complain a lot, so there is that.

I think I'd rather spend the $180 on candy than hear a lot of complaining. Still, that's a lot of candy! Lol.

Great job on the pumpkin carving - too bad they do not last long after carving...
Last pumpkin I 'carved' was 15 years ago. Ex GF spent half a day on hers. A 1" hole saw in a power drill had mine done in 5 minutes. 2 holes for eyes, and about 5 for a mouth. She said I cheated...
In my area last night, not many kids. I bought a 150pc bag of candy for $14 and I still have a few handfuls left. there were more last year for sure. Glad I got candy I liked...

Yeah it was carved by my daughter's boyfriend and after 2 days is starting to get mushy. I bought 80 bags of trick or treat potato chips to hand out and had 6 kids come to the door. People at work will have some chips to eat!

The kids don't complain, the old folks who live in my new neighborhood do, alot. Instead of being welcomed to the neighborhood, we had code enforcement called on us 3 times in the first week after we moved in. The neighbors didn't like that, although I have a circular driveway, I decided to, legally park my old 83 Dodge 4X4 pick up in the street, in front of my own house. We had lots of service people and others coming to the house getting alarm, cable, internet, phone service etc up and running and I didn't want the truck in the way. I planned to park it in back after a couple of weeks, once I had gotten the PODS and the trailer emptied. I eventually found out who was calling code enforcement, a lady who shares my alley but lives on the next street, and parked the Dodge and my 1 ton dually in front of her house, legally, (for up to 24 hours at a time in Dallas)She called the cops who came over and talked to me. I smiled asked if I was breaking any laws and was told no. I moved my trucks back and forth a few feet every day for about 5 days before I took them back to my house. She hasn't complained since.
