Happy fathers day
#4
There used to be a father's day Olds show in North Vancouver many moons ago. The local club that put it on is all but disolved as far as I know. It was nice to have somewhere Olds specific to go. A show without acres of camaros, mustangs and chevelles. Oh - and Mopar nut jobs.
Talking to other dads it seems to be the general consensus that the response to the question - 'what do you want for father's day?' is ' to be left the hell alone in my garage' . Quite the contrast to mother's day.

I lost my Dad to a a short battle with cancer, combined with a head injury from a fall, a few days ago... It's been a pretty tough day for me.
He was a Korean war veteran.
He was a life-long car & motorcycle enthusiast, who taught me how to drive, work on cars & ride motorcycles.
A better family man there never was. He will be missed by his wife of 60 years, 3 sons, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
No one will miss him more than me... my Dad.
