Happy with engine paint
I just wanted to post a couple pics of the engine after putting a couple thousand miles on it. The VHT (I think metallic gold) has held up nicely. I couldn't tell you how many coats I put on but it was a lot. And the black grill paint on the headers still looks good too. I really thought by now the gold would be a dull brown and the headers would be rusting.

Seems like it is doing great. What is vht? I used ceramic paint from Eastwood on mine. Holding up good too. You seem to have less heat damage at the center exhaust manifold on yours though.
Hey, I didn't even notice until I posted these pics; is that head bolt leaking oil in the first pic? Can I just tighten that up or do I need to pull the brackets and valve covers and do them all in order?
Actually Randy, I think you're right. I was just out there checking and the cover screws were loose. I keep tightening those things and they keep coming loose again.
