Good use for a rusty hood. :)

I'm fixing up a '72 S to flip & needed some floor pan patches & I have a '71 Supreme with a rusty hood. So I did a little measuring & broke out the chop saw & made my own. A few self tapping screws for good measure & it's good as new.

That's awesome,

i usually do the same thing with old computer panels since they're coated against rust.

Thing is still holding strong.

They also work great if you want to have a fire outside at your fishhouse in the winter. Plop it down and build your fire on an old car hood.

I redid the entire floor of a '93 Sonoma with computer cases. Good heavy sheet, free on every street corner. Wouldn't want to try using the new cases tho ... 'cept it would be a good match for the tinfoil on modern cars.
