Good luck with this carb remanufacturer

So I know everyone's experience with carburator remanufacturing companies depends on individual results, but I have bought two Quadrajet carbs from Guaranteed Carburetors out of Largo Florida and had very good results. They are not concourse restoration in appearance, but both have performed excellent. You will need to know what number is correct for your application to get the right one. I installed one on my Olds 455 a year ago and one one my 71 Chevy pickup with a 350. I set the idle mixture with a vacuum gauge on both and that is all. The Olds runs a little lean due to modern gas. I just put the one on the Chevy, so I am not sure if the plugs will read lean, but the truck runs smooth as a sewing machine, has perfect throttle response, and a lot of power. Exceptionally well for a vehicle with 117,000 on the odometer.

Do you know if they are using the ethanol compatible rebuild parts? Do they re-bush the throttle shafts?

not sure about the throttle shafts, but they do use ethanol compatible parts. The guy who answered the phone was honest and said you need to confirm they are not sending you one off the shelf that's been there before the started doing that if you are not having yours rebuilt. They have been in business a long time and some of their stock precedes their use of ethanol resistant parts. I suggest calling them first. They actually have answered the phone both times I called and I ordered my carburators by phone.

Interesting. Never heard of them. "Carburetor King" out of Jacksonville FL is one of the largest mass rebuilders, or was at one point. Theres also the Daytona Beach one, Daytona Parts Co.
