$27,000 for entire rear axle, I guess you pick up the rest of the car at the end of the day

I believe that differential & axle were produced for one year only - 1970. Wonder what ratio?

Good read >>> W-27 rear axle

Can of aluma blast is what, $15 thereabouts? Make your own for lots less!

This is like those Hurst/Olds specific parts that people peddle for thousands of dollars. Unless your car came with it from the factory, not great financial move to buy one of these just as an "upgrade" where maybe 1 out of 450 people would even know what it was anyway, and then hide it where nobody's going to look.

I would suggest that the price listed is what the seller feels it is worth. He/she may never sell it, but so long as they don’t feel compelled to lower the price, they can continue to store it and watch the market. No, I don’t believe that it is worth the asking price. But I also don’t believe that this piece is going to tank in value anytime soon. Don’t hate, just move along.😊

Better chop a zero off the end there, perhaps then it may sell.

According to Lee's 70 Year Car Value Theory, these prices will drop significantly when the cars are 70 years old in 15 years. My issue is I won't have too much left to enjoy them then, and I'm not sure how many of the rest of us will be around then either.

This is the type of thing that would be right at home under that W-43 car.

I'm assuming that this is not related to the General Lee. Have a link?

Didn’t know that, but it certainly makes sense.

And it’s weak…wouldn’t trust it behind a stout small block with todays sticky tires.

it’s a conversation piece these days or for a show car that gets hand pushed in and out of an enclosed trailer… but if your documented car came with one and you need it,, pay up.

I seen one at the homecoming in 2019 for $18,000
it was ruffff,,like it was sitting in a swamp for years.
